About Me

Alan L. Thomas, Itinerate Bible teacher and preacher

I have been an ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ since 1986. Since that time I have served the Body of Christ in the areas of music, youth and education as well as pastoral ministry. I have served as pastor in two churches from 1991 to 2010. The Lord has given me a desire to help local churches discover their potential as the unified Body of Christ.

While attending a spiritual retreat in 1998, I experienced the unconditional love of Christ in an all new life changing way. I experienced having the love of Christ shown to me by individuals from various churches and denominations. Most of these people did not know anything about me, yet they showed me the love of Christ. I realized, “this is what the church should be like,” then I fell under the conviction of the Holy Spirit and had to confess, “this is not what my church is like,” and finally I confessed, “this is not what I am like.” As the pastor of a church that was not being an example of God’s unconditional love, I had to point my accusing finger back at myself. Today it is my goal to share this message of unconditional love and the unity that results from a life changing relationship with Jesus.

The purpose of this ministry is to promote unity in the local church and to promote a greater understanding of the unity of all Christians regardless of church affiliation or denominational identity. The Lord has given me a 7 part study on unity for the local church. Go to 7 Steps for more information on the content of this study. I am available to teach or preach in any church that will invite me to do so. For scheduling information, go to Contact me or use the address and phone number listed below.
